For our Shared Service Center DACH in Frankfurt am Main we are looking at the next possible date for a

General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure correct, complete and timely financial reporting for group reporting purposes and statutory/ legal requirements for several sites.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the periodic financial statements and reports under IFRS and local GAAP, in close cooperation with Business Partnering, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax and Cost Accounting
  • Analyze the periodic financial statements, understand the developments and discuss with business partners
  • Responsible for the preparation of the annual financial statements and local statutory reports
  • Ensure compliance of the financial statements and internal processes with the MERSEN group reporting standards
  • Continuously improvement of processes in close cooperation with the FE4CE Reporting and Accounting team
  • Support the IFRS and Local GAAP audits in close contact with public auditors
  • Support Business Partnering in budgeting processes, cost analysis and management reporting


YOUR PROFILE:

  • Masters degree in Finance / Economics
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting or controlling experience, thereof preferably 2 years in an industrial and international environment or an audit firm
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good understanding of financial accounting requirements including Local, International and IFRS Accounting Standards
  • Profound knowledge and proven relevant experience of management accounting and reporting techniques
  • General affinity for IT and digitalisation
  • High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English and German
