Are you a senior accountant or an accountant looking to take a step up to the challenge in your career? My client, a leading accountancy practice are on the lookout for individuals for a senior accountant position with future progression available with the company

The role requires someone who is at least AAT or ACCA qualified with 5 years practice experience.

The main responsibilities for the Senior Accountant will include:
  • Accounts preparation and finalisation for Limited Companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships and Charities.
  • Corporate, Personal and Partnership Tax Computations and Returns.
  • VAT calculations and submissions to HMRC. Also overseeing VAT Clients and ensuring clients are MTD for VAT compliant
  • Liaising and meeting with clients on a regular basis regarding their Accounts, Tax and other related work.
  • Dealing with HMRC
  • Training and supervising junior staff and reviewing their work
  • Reporting to Managers
  • Completing CPD requirements
  • Completing Money Laundering and GDPR requirements
  • Adhoc duties as required

About you:
  • ACCA qualified
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a public practice accountancy firm
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision
  • Good IT knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Effective communication skills not just with clients but with staff and managers also.
  • Knowledge of IRIS and Sage
