Lease Accounting Manager
About the Role
The Operating Lease Manager ensures that the all rental transactions for landlords and in the future operating equipment leases following established guidelines and procedures, and recorded and paid correctly. Analyze and forecast all NA Occupancy Costs on a monthly basis.
• Review percentage rent information into the current AS400 and future AMT Direct Lease Accounting System
• Reviews and approve all lease renewals and amendments to make sure the correct amounts are reconciled according to the start date of new lease
• Review and approve the Calculation of rent and fill out AAFES military base reports each month
• Review and approve all journal entries for the deferred rent, closed stores, fav/unfav, tenant allowance, percentage rent and prepaid account reconciliations each month
• Review and approve the monthly rent for payments out of AMT each month
• Supervise the multitude of imports and exports, from and to AMT system to G/L.
• Review compliance with ASC 842 Lease Accounting
• Prepare monthly analyzes of Occupancy Costs.
• Prepare monthly projections of Occupancy Costs
About You
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and Leasing
• Bachelor's degree
• AMT Direct Software Experience and CPA (Plus)
• Public accounting experience (plus)
• Strong problem solving skills
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrate ability to Work well under pressure and communicate with landlords
• Microsoft Office; mostly Excel
• Time management and critical thinking needed to be able to handle the multitude of accounts
• Positive attitude and self-motivating
