Job Summary:

The Charlotte Cost Accountant, will support the Plant Controller, partnering with materials, engineering, and operations improvements for the Charlotte Aftermarket facility which is part of the Residential HVAC & Supply strategic business unit.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for establishing standard costs on purchased and manufactured parts
  • Assist with month end closing and reporting
  • Monitor and evaluate material variances, measuring productivity and inflation
  • Scrap analysis and reporting
  • Annual standard cost setting and change in standard analysis
  • Production absorption and effectivity analysis
  • Site Sarbanes Oxley coordinator to ensure proactive monitoring of internal controls and testing requirements
  • Accounts Payable research and resolution
  • Fixed asset monitoring
  • General ledger account analysis and account reconciliations

Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years; at least one year of manufacturing accounting preferred.
  • Accounting, Finance, or related business degree required; Accounting degree highly preferred.
  • Analytics experience (Alteryx, Tableau) a plus.
