Job Description

Director, Corporate Accounting & AD

The Director, Corporate Accounting & AD will lead the Corporate Accounting Department, including the following overall areas:

Acquisitions andJoint Ventures accounting - coordinates the company's accounting for acquisitions under ASC 805, supports operations in providing guidance on joint venture accounting and reporting matters, and maintains the company books associated with minority owned joint ventures managed by the company
Divestiture accounting performs analysis of assets held for sale and gain/loss on sale calculations, assists with post-closing working capital settlements and other ongoing reconciliations with new owners of divested locations, oversees the books for the divested hospitals as retained working capital balances run offand other operational wind-down activities
General corporate accounting - maintains the accounting for the corporate books, departmental overhead reporting, allocation entries to subsidiaries and intercompany reporting among other items
Oversee the corporate month end close process, including facilitation with other departments (IS, Treasury, Financial Reporting, Legal, Tax, AP and Payroll) and subsidiaries (Conifer, USPI, CareSpot)

Support the financial operations throughout the country in fielding questions about accounting policies

Assist in supporting external reporting and audits

Ensure the financial integrity of financial information

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree with major in Accounting
CPA required
Public Accouting experience required
Minimum 12 years total experience (minimum 7 years of public accounting experience)
Experience in supervising teams and ability to oversee special project teams
Strong US GAAP knowledge
Strong background in designing, implementing and maintaining internal controls
Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Stong communication skills (both oral and written)
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Healthcare experience preferred but not required

10+ to 15 years experience
