Grade 8: £41,526 - £49,553 per annum The Senior Manager - Risk, Compliance and Assurance plays a vital role in ensuring that appropriate arrangements for risk, compliance and assurance are integrated, embedded and operating effectively and efficiently across the University. Reporting to the Head of Risk, Compliance and Assurance, the postholder will have an excellent opportunity to experience work spanning the breadth of the University's activity, and to take responsibility for important areas of work in the context of an evolving regulatory environment.

This is an evolving area of responsibility; accordingly the postholder will need to be comfortable with an evolving remit, allowing the role to be shaped to suit organisational needs and the postholder's skills, experience and interests.

As the successful applicant you should be able to clearly demonstrate:

• Recent significant experience of working in a similar role at a senior level in a large and complex organisation • Excellent knowledge of core compliance topics including bribery and corruption, sanctions and anti-trust

• Excellent knowledge of risk management and assurance • Excellent communication skills

• Excellent ability to work collaboratively and influence people at all levels (both internal and external to the organisation) • A flexible and creative approach to identify practical solutions to complex problems

• Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
