SGUnited Traineeship: Global Treasury - Macroeconomic Research - China and FX Analyst

Job Description

This is a unique dual mandate role supporting both FX and Greater China team. The candidate is able to learn how to draw the insights from the global macro-economic trend and analyze the impact on global currency and rates markets. Meanwhile, the candidate will also learn from the analysts based in Singapore and Hong Kong how to make sense those big events from Greater China market such as US-China tension and Hong Kong situation etc and analyze the impact of those risk events on South East Asia. The candidate is expected to work with the team to advise bank's traders and sales on FX trading and hedging ideas.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and communicate to clients (verbal and written) G-10 and EM Asian FX trends and forecasts;
• Maintain and refine existing FX models; Develop new, and expand existing FX models and spreadsheets depending on requirements;
• develop and communicate to clients trade ideas;
• Data mining from multiple sources, including Bloomberg, CEIC and other official/private sources of database.
• Able to support Greater China research team to perform thematic study such as post covid-19 supply chain shift, US-China tension and RMB digitalization etc Qualifications
