Part-Time Finance Manager

Reporting to the Bursar, we seek a pro-active person with the technical skills to oversee the accountancy functions of the School. This is a new role, providing an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced finance professional to join our growing team. Responsible to : Bursar Reports : Finance Officer Purpose of the Job : To assist the Bursar with the financial management of Davenies School and to deputise for him/her as required. The successful candidate will require: A formal accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with line management experience Strong technical financial and management accounting skills with experience working in finance Excellent IT skills including use of Excel and Word packages Excellent communication and organisational skills The ability to work under pressure and on their own initiative in a systematic manner with attention to detail Proactivity in approach and willingness to get hands on to ensure jobs get done and deadlines are met Key Responsibilities Accounting and Finance Payroll and Pensions Budgeting and Management Governance Technical Standards and Control Facilities Please visit the School''s website for a full job description.
