Advanced Business Analyst II - Labvantage for Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) department

About the departmentGlobal IT India was established in February 2010 as an integral part of Global IT in HQ. From the beginning in 2010, the unit has grown to 500+ employees till date. The main role of Global IT India is to 'manage' IT, which includes System Management, Project Management, Infrastructure Management, Compliance Management, Security Management, Process Management and Vendor Management.Manufacturing IT is the unit which is responsible for more than 60+ global IT systems at Novo Nordisk including the operation, maintenance, support and development of these systems. These systems are used on a global scale by all areas of the business ranging from R&D to Product Supply and are critical to the execution of key business processes such as development, manufacturing, sales, finance, etc.

The positionThe position is anchored in LAB LIMS Systems department within Manufacturing IT India. LAB LIMS Systems consists of an application portfolio for Quality Control systems, mostly used in the laboratory areas across the globe in various Novo Nordisk PS manufacturing sites. In LAB LIMS Systems you will be part of a highly engaged team managing LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) for Product Supply, supporting LIMS system which is core to the laboratory and production processes in Novo Nordisk.

You will be participating in the operation, maintenance and development including system corrections and releases as well as the support process in Agile methodology. You will be working with a team of colleagues both in Denmark and India, and you will have ample opportunities for professional growth and best practice exchanges in your daily work.

The position holder will be part of LabVantage LV8 senior developer who will be responsible for the overall support and development of the GxP / business critical global LIMS system (Laboratory Information Management System).

As a senior developer you will be technically leading the team of support analysts and developers, providing support in day-to-day support operations(like troubleshooting/debugging of issues, updating/creating/reviewing and approving technical system documents, resolving performance issues, providing fixes, developing testing scenarios, representing and providing support team activity's updates in different status update meetings, co-ordinate with supporting systems and vendors to resolve issues, deployments etc.). And also during development activities (like risk assessments, code development, updating/creating/reviewing and approving technical system documents, source code reviews, debugging, providing development activity updates during status calls, deployments, co-ordinating with different project teams, product upgrades, change/release management and configuration management etc.).

You will also support the project requirement and may need to work as an independently LabVantage LV consultant with project team to develop new interface with globalLIMS. The globalLIMS system is the Novo Nordisk implementation of the standard Laboratory Information Management System software package LV8 from LabVantage with additional BO reports and interfaces to other Novo Nordisk systems. It handles laboratory information related to quality control of pharmaceutical products within Novo Nordisk. It is used to plan and document the laboratory analysis which is part of the release process for the products.

QualificationsWe are expecting you to hold the below skills and knowledge:
  • Bachelors in Engineering, MCA or similar graduate degree in relevant field (Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration).
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in leading system support and development teams of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) configured on LabVantage LV8
  • Should have experience on Computer system validation and GxP (GMP), ITIL related support, including Change/Release and Problem management
  • Excellent communication skill in English both written and oral
  • Experience is pharmaceutical domain will be an added advantage
  • Good collaborative skills involving key stakeholders including follow-up on vendor deliverables and services according to agreements
  • Ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders
  • Open for business travel
  • Expert in LabVantage LV8 development, configuration, implementation
  • Experience in LabVantage LV8 production support by troubleshooting day-to-day incidents and problems in coordination with users, supporting systems and vendors
  • Good to have LabVantage certification
  • Good hands on experience of deploying LabVantage LV8 product upgrades and releases in different environments
  • Should have knowledge of Oracle, Java and related LabVantage LV8 technologies used for development and support of LabVantage solution
  • Experience in troubleshooting and development of LabVantage LV 8.0 related performance
  • Experience in resolving technical issues while coordinating with users and vendors
  • Should also work independently with project team as a LabVantage LV consultant
