Role Description:

Trainee will work closely with and reports to Fund Services manager, and is responsible for management and financial accounting and reporting of assigned client portfolios within the Fund Services, Accounting & Payroll and Tax Services Functions

Responsibilities:

I. Fund Services
  • Provide quality fund administration services for our clients; manage and maintain good and stable client relationships
  • Actively interact with clients and counter-parties including legal counsels, auditors and tax advisors to meet key deadlines
  • Preparation and/or review of management accounts, partners' capital statements, capital call/ distribution notices and any other related deliverables
  • Facilitate the annual audit of the funds with communication with auditors
  • Maintaining and enforcing adherence the policies and procedures of the Fund's business line operating model
  • Support the implementation of new process and procedure within the team

II. Accounting & Payroll
  • Prepare and maintain accounts and accounting records in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
  • Maintain up to date knowledge in statutory regulations by IRAS, SFRS, identify and adapt quickly to changes in those regulations

III. Tax Services
  • Prepare tax computations/tax returns, GST returns, and withholding tax returns
  • Verifying assessments raised by the IRAS and informing client on payment amount and associated timeline

IV. Other Duties
  • Assisting in the operational on-boarding of new clients including coordinating client acceptance / on-boarding process, agreement on services delivery which is laid down in an SLA
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with the provisions of the Singapore Companies Act and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards / relevant accounting standards.
  • Initiate billing of service fees to clients on completion of assigned work and monitoring collection
  • Demonstrate ownership of assigned work and ensure timely completion
  • Pro-actively take on adhoc responsibilities and task from time to time as required for the three service lines

    This position is for both recent graduates and mid career individuals.

    SGUnited Traineeship Program:

    Only Singaporean/entry level candidates that graduate in 2019/2020 and possess a Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines should consider.
