Financial Controller

About the Financial Controller Role:
Reporting directly to the Group Controller, you will be part of a global finance team, responsible for the full finance operations of the Singapore entity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day accounting for the Singapore entity, including processing payroll, accounts payable, expense report processing, etc.
• Monthly closing for the Singapore entity in a multicurrency environment
• Prepare monthly Singapore management accounts, and analytics using interactive dashboards
• Monitor the entity's compliance with Singapore MAS Financial Resource regulatory rules and requirements, as well as preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual MAS returns
• Prepare financial forecasts incorporating potential regulatory impact
• Prepare year-end financial statements in compliance with Singapore FRS and interacting with auditors to address interim and year end audit requests
• Work with the global tax team to ensure compliance with local corporate and payroll taxes
• Participate or lead projects aiming to automate or enhance current processes and reporting

To succeed in this Financial Controller role, you will be a tech-savvy qualified accountant with experience in asset management or hedge funds, who enjoys taking a hands-on role in business operations.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified accountant - asset management or hedge fund experience an advantage with a good financial and regulatory working knowledge
• Excellent Excel and systems skills, knowledge of VBA or SQL is a plus
• Demonstrable ability to identify and suggest process changes and improvements, coupled with the ability to work with intricate data structures
• Well-organised with a proven record of meeting deadlines, strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in written and spoken English essential
• Candidates requiring a work permit need not apply at this time
