The Financial Controller will manage all aspects of the accounting department and its operations to ensure accurate financial record keeping, assist with budget and forecast preparations, develop and monitor internal control policies/procedures, and assist with financial risk management. Experience with small businesses is strongly preferred.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:ManagementManage finance & accounting operations and (currently 2) accounting personnel, including training/skill level, resource utilization and advancementDevelop and maintain internal accounting policies and proceduresSupport ad–hoc finance and operational projects TransactionsManage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, revenue recognition, multi–company/intercompany transactions and consolidationsMaintain quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingReportingCoordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variancesMaintain Cashflow forecast processManage/prepare timely and accurate month–end/quarter–end/year–end closing & reporting package including utilization, financials with footnotes, cap table, analysis, dashboard updates, and MDPrepare management and board reports as neededComplianceDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsAssist with audit/tax preparationManage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsIdeal Candidate:A bold & authentic leader, inspiring those around them with passion and commitment. Advanced QuickBooks and/or other accounting software skills required.
