Overview: As Finance Manager for Catalyst:Ed, you will be responsible for improving, maintaining, and executing strong financial processes and supporting the leadership and Board in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization. Founded and led by a woman of color, Catalyst:Ed is committed to being a space where diversity is valued and all team members are able to bring their full, authentic selves to work.What Youll Accomplish in This Role:In this role, you will manage the organizations finance function by:Developing of and monitoring operating and project budgets, in partnership with CEO and PartnersImproving, maintaining, and executing strong financial processes, including:Catalyst:Ed invoicingConsultant and vendor invoicing, payment and trackingReceivables and payables managementAnnual, quarterly, and monthly monitoring and reportingManaging third–party bookkeeper and reviewing financial data monthly to ensure accuracy of reportingDeveloping expense guidelines, and processing and monitoring expensesMonitoring and managing cash flowContributing to grant management by administering grant processes (e.g. agreement execution/acknowledgement, reporting, disbursements)Reviewing grant agreements, contracts, and proposals to determine reporting requirements and classificationProviding support for grant monitoring and reportingReviewing, negotiating, and monitoring vendor contractsLeading annual audit processDeveloping financial reports for Board meetingsLiaising, problem–solving, and managing relationships with key outsourced finance partners, including bookkeepers, auditors, and consultantsWho Were Looking For:We urge you to apply if this mostly describes you:5+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated impact in a finance role in a related field (nonprofit, consulting, philanthropy, etc.)Meticulous attention to detailEffective communication and organizational skillsAbility to collaborate and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholdersTrack record of taking initiative and working entrepreneuriallyComfort with technologyGood to KnowLocation: Catalyst:Ed works nationally, with an office in New Orleans.
