Job Description:

The Manager, Accounting role will be responsible for oversight and execution of the Communications Systems Segment's self- testing of Financial and Applications controls:
  • Lead teams (occasionally more than one simultaneously) to develop and execute plans for drafting, assessing and evaluating the internal controls of a business.
  • Ensure processes function as intended by assessing and in some cases assisting businesses with narratives to document controls as well as develop test strategies to evaluate the controls are working as intended.
  • Execute both the control documentation and control testing phases for newer and smaller scale Divisions.
  • Assist where necessary in overall Sector audit plans to ensure successful plan execution throughout the year. This position supports all of the Sectors within the CS Segment.
  • Where possible, identify and drive process improvements regarding performance and testing of controls.
  • Support multiple internal and external audits on a regular basis. In certain situations, act as both a liaison between the auditors and the business as well as being a key point of contact for the auditors throughout the audit process.
  • Interact frequently with Corporate teams (Audit, Internal Controls and Technical Accounting focused)
  • Some travel, potentially up to 25%, may be required. The intent is to minimize travel whenever possible, especially during the current COVID-19 related travel restrictions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • CPA or CPA candidate

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in public accounting
  • Strong system abilities with PeopleSoft or other large ERP systems
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in working across functions and within a team
