The opportunity
We are recruiting for a Quality Manager to lead our Functional Excellence Team, based in Brisbane. In this role you will be an integral part of the BDA Quality Function Leadership Team and will be responsible for leading our central Functional Excellence group comprising of Quality System Specialists who collectively support and enable the broader Quality Function and BDA Quality Management System (QMS) by establishing and maintaining Quality policy and governance, assuring the functionality and effectiveness of our systems and processes, facilitating performance measurement and analytical capability, managing supplier quality imperatives and driving continuous business improvement.

The opportunity
We are recruiting for a Quality Manager to lead our Functional Excellence Team, based in Brisbane. Responsibilities
- Lead and drive a culture First Time Quality (FTQ) and continuous improvement with the Quality Function and across BDA.
- Lead, coach and manage a team of Quality System Specialists to evaluate and enhance employee performance through expansion of skills and capabilities.
- Develop, lead and promote projects/initiatives aligned to the department's strategic objectives to drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
- Provide education and coaching on the QMS.
- Leverage and manage relationships within the Quality Leadership Team and with key stakeholders to ensure resources are appropriately allocated to support key priorities and deliverables within agreed timelines.
Qualification/Education
- Minimum 5 years' experience in successfully leading and managing Quality and/or Business Improvement Teams.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of the ISO 9001 and AS 9110 standards, and working knowledge of ISO 31000. Knowledge of ISO 17025 also preferable.
- Tertiary level business or aviation management qualifications or commensurate level professional knowledge and experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively engage, communicate with and influence Senior and Executive level stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and time manage in a high pressure environment.
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
- Hold Australian Citizenship so you have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence clearance up to SECRET level.
