About the role
Our Fund Accounting team performs accounting and tax related services for various Managed Investment, Listed Investment, Superannuation and Property Fund/Trust clients. The role will work as part of a large team providing the highest level of service across a large client base.

Key areas of responsibility include:
  • Update the general ledger for Managed Investment funds / Property funds and reconcile back to the source of truth on a timely and effective basis.
  • Prepare daily unit prices, daily investments and quarterly APRA for superannuation funds.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely month end general ledger update and reconciliation, trial balance, profit/loss, balance sheet, ICR calculations and client specific reports.
  • Take ownership of distribution calculation for Managed Investment funds, clients' queries and relevant tax provisions for the Listed Investment Companies.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely preparation and lodgement of clients' BAS returns, WHT payment, PAYG payment, ABS Surveys preparation and Income Tax Returns preparation.
  • Take ownership for timely delivery of the annual financial statements, semi-annual financial statements and income tax return for Managed Inv. / Property funds and audit queries.
  • Provide accurate and timely response for questions and queries raised by Auditors, clients, tax advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist the Fund Accountant and Senior Fund Accountant to monitor clients' SLA and agreed deliverables.
  • Half Yearly and Yearly financial statements for Managed Inv. / Property funds.
  • Ad hoc project work to improve processes & procedures.
About you
  • Degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
  • You will have at least 1 years experience within a similar role, ideally from a funds management/financial services/ fund services background. Or experience in a finance role.
  • Preferred good working knowledge / experience using HiPortfolio
  • Good communication and reporting skills are desired.
  • You will also demonstrate experience in handling multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment and thrive on working in a team.
  • Intermediate to Advanced excel skills are desired from the ideal candidate
  • Good local tax knowledge or Managed Investment Trust specific tax knowledge.
