Title: Top6 Audit Manager - Public Sector Audit and Assurance
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £49k - £56k + Significant Bonus
As a result of a period of well publicised client wins, SJC Partners have been mandated by this Top6 professional services firm to recruit an Audit Manager to strengthen their public sector audit team in the North West.
Working across a range of public sector clients in the region (including but not limited to Local Government and NHS) you will:
- Take responsibility for managing key client portfolios and building and maintaining good working relationships with all colleagues and clients
- Assist the Audit Partner in establishing audit objectives and overall scope
- Review the work of in-charge Seniors and also of specialists (IT, risk)
- Remain updated to clients' business and is the key contact for day-to-day queries
- Follow through on any concerns regarding an audit assignment with the audit partner
- Adhere to the firms risk management policies and procedures
Applicants should possess a professional accounting qualification (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, ICAS or another recognised professional body) with demonstrable experience of managing a sizeable portfolio of external audit clients. Allied to the obvious technical requirements, you must have excellent client facing/relationship management skills and be commercially astute (have an ability to spot new opportunities).
