Role Description

The successful individual will support the MSIM FMIL risk team in carrying out effective risk oversight of all funds managed by MSIM FMIL. This will include assisting with oversight of the implementation of risk management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with risk limits.

The successful candidate will support the production of any regular or ad hoc reporting, manage any identified issue through to resolution and perform other activities as delegated by the Head of Risk. The selected candidate will also have responsibility for supporting the delivery of any strategic and tactical initiatives to improve the function’s capabilities. Other responsibilities may include: maintaining and improving data analytics sources/processes, collaborating with other teams to manage issues and communicating results and insights.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Skills /Experience required
  • Demonstrable previous working experience in a risk or data discipline advantageous but not a requirement
  • Strong academics; educated to third-level degree standard or equivalent
  • Highly detail-oriented self-starter and team player, with the ability to maintain accuracy and effectiveness while working in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills - ability to appropriately engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Good power-point skills and technical skills including Excel and other end user computing tools
