Client Details

Leading Surrey based Charity with a super reputation is seeking a Qualified Financial Accountant

Description

To ensure financial procedures and policies for the Group are appropriate and robust

Rent and Service charge accounting for the Group

Responsibility for the year-end audit process

Management of the day to day banking relationship and transactions for the Group

To supervise the preparation of all bank and credit card reconciliations

Responsibility for preparing and submitting the Group's VAT returns

Staff Management of 5 transactional staff members

Finance and Budgetary Management

To oversee the purchase ledger, sales ledger / credit control, other income and rent accounting for the Group

To ensure compliance with all relevant legislation including Safeguarding, Confidentiality, Data Protection and Health and Safety guidelines and policies.

Profile

Professional qualification - CCAB qualified Minimum 2 year's experience in financial management

Fully conversant with accounting procedures legislation and an understanding of housing SORP and FRS102

Knowledge of market leading finance systems Strong knowledge of VAT and partial exemption

Knowledge of the UK social housing and / or charity sector

Knowledge of the housing and related markets

Knowledge of appropriate legal and regulatory standards

Experience of producing statutory accounts including written reports

Experience of preparation and presentation of financial information to finance and non-finance colleagues
