About the role:

We’re currently recruiting an Operations Accountant to join our team in Kerry Foods, based in Southall, West London!

To partner with the site team to ensure the effective delivery of the Site and Chilled Meals strategy in line with statutory, Kerry Group and best practice standards. Ownership for the delivery of the monthly accounts for the business 2 Entities and 4 Factories.

Key responsibilities of the role:

Control & Reporting

  • Complete working capital analysis, tracking & forecasts on a monthly basis, as well as consolidating total position across the Noon business including updating commentary for various stakeholders
  • Lead out all budget / projection & forecast activities – focusing on detailed analysis based on a ZBCO Mindset
  • Support monthly reviews and periodic business planning sessions. Involves evaluating financial and operational results, monitoring data and contributing to the development of key initiatives.
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly accounts, annual budget/projection, forecasts and year end accounts. Lead Out and review all Month-End Activities, as well as reviewing on-going opps/risks to the P&L and communicating appropriately to various stakeholders
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Monthly review meetings
  • Consolidate & review Cost Saving project tracker, as well as collating commentary for various stakeholders
  • Provision of quality information and analysis of key financial data
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and Kerry procedures
  • Follow agreed standardised metrics and reports
  • Ensure strong internal controls are in place and maintained to mitigate business risk
  • Business Partnering

  • Assist in preparation and presentation of timely, accurate, value-added information to senior executive including financial analysis and presentations that assists in strategic decision making.
  • Taking a lead role in target setting and performance management to deliver business objectives
  • Pro-actively use information generated to challenge and influence local management
  • Challenging investment decisions to maximise ROI
  • Influence and coordinate the development of the strategic business plans
  • Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Streamline the processes for information delivery
  • Supporting business change in the use Kerry processes and systems
  • Promote and embrace a culture of continuous improvement
  • Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead the site finance function with clearly defined and standardised roles and objectives
  • Promote and support the Kerry Foods Finance Behaviours and Ways of Working teams
  • Ensure engagement with other operational and commercial finance teams
  • Promote involvement of team members in cross-functional activity
  • Ownership of personal development.
  • Your Profile:

  • You will be a Qualified Accountant with extensive knowledge of Management Accounting, preferably within Manufacturing
  • SAP and BI experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Advanced Excel required
