The Opportunity
Aon Specialty Broking Asia represents a team of dedicated professionals with unrivalled client and placement expertise covering the most diverse spectrum of industry and product lines in regional insurance and reinsurance markets. Managing the largest portfolio of business in Asia and utilising our unparalleled global network we deliver cutting edge risk solutions for our clients be it on balance sheet, on land, on sea or in the air. Aon Specialty Broking Asia combines localised client advisory services with placement experts from our Global Broking Centre trading daily with domestic, regional and global carriers ensuring our clients benefit from industry leading advice and placement solutions to more effectively manage risk.

Responsibilities:

• To drive the negotiation and placement of insurance/reinsurance contracts, producing desktop & market quotations and lead terms, for the Specialty;
• Apply market expertise to design, deliver, innovate and place new/expanded business opportunities, renewals and mid-term adjustments and claims to improve market competitiveness, drive growth and optimal outcomes clients
• Partner with Aon resources (Sales & Marketing, Specialty Team, GBC and in-Country teams) to deliver the widest practical range of insurance solutions and services to client.
• Complete contributions to tender responses for the Specialty to ensure timely submission and quality of reports
• Ensure implementation of broking excellence initiatives including: Client Promise; Sales / Cross Selling; Wording/Slip standardization; Standard Contracts; Data Quality; Broking operations process flow; Carrier / market engagements.
• Interface with the market and to secure optimum outcome for client risk coverage
• Contribute to updates of monthly Broking analytics (Monthly Carrier Review)
• Help with Aon Inpoint engagements
• Contribute to key thought leadership content for our clients and markets, and demonstrate understanding and insight into the industry, clients, risks and solutions.
• Contribute to up to date marketing materials on carrier appetite and solutions available to Specialty clients;
• Contribute to regular \"State of the Market\" reports for the Specialty updating on market trends and losses relevant to the Specialty.
• Ensure knowledge and best practice approaches are captured, documented and shared to ensure resiliency in the broking function for the Specialty
• Responsibility to ensure that all broking / placement activity is in compliance with MAS regulations and Aon Company Policy and Guidelines.

Requirements

• Preferably 6+ years of Asia Insurance and Reinsurance market experience
• Established client relationships with both insurers and reinsurers
• Possess in-depth knowledge of risks and the reinsurance market to find and arrange suitable reinsurance policies and arrange/tender cover
• Independent, analytical, conceptually minded and pro-active
• Team player
• Understanding of dynamic and global office structure
• Skilled in working with several relevant computer systems.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
