This role will report to the Financial Controller directly and provide support on executing and performing credit risk assessment, collection, customer dispute, reconciliation and recovery of long overdue debts.
Client Details
Our client is the global leader in the retail industry pf premium fashion and luxury products. As the business is on the recovery stage, they are now looking for a Credit Controller who can work very closely with the commercial team to not only build up more customer base, but also ensure the cash flow within the group.
Description
Manage customer credit limit & perform risk assessment on new and existing customers
Responsible on the daily order-on-hold review process to ensure orders exceeding credit limit will be blocked/ escalated for ad-hoc approval.
Responsible for the customer incentive / rebate billing and verification with Sales team.
Review the collection status with the sales team and provide latest comment and progress of the collection.
Responsible for customer credit collections and ensure all overdue debts are closely monitored with payment plans in place, monitor DSO days vs. target.
Prepare monthly forecasted DSO (days-sales-outstanding) report for submission to the region.
Management on customer dispute with the customer service & sales department
Review monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation and ensure all reconciliation items have action plan.
Support the FC in the management of statutory books of Malaysia (i.e. external audit, annual income tax return, SST matters and internal audit).
Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration
Ability to influence in a complex, fast-paced, matrix-reporting, multi-cultural environment
Strong analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to adjust and adapt to changing business environment and tackle ad-hoc requests
Confident yet personable with the ability to build and promote strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
