Relationship Manager, Canadian Institutional Investments

Who we are looking for

This is a key role within the Client Services team, tasked with the retention and growth of strategic relationships within the Canadian marketplace. The successful candidate is a seasoned professional within the Canadian Institutional Investments space, capable of meeting established goals such as retaining existing business, cross-selling opportunities and will also be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans. The RM coordinates and manages an enterprise wide view of complex clients within a global business and potential/actual buyers of products.

What you will be responsible for

As Relationship Manager, you will

  • Complete with the assistance of designated team members, an annual Account Plan which addresses profitability, up-sell/cross sell, retention and client satisfaction; co-ordinate the execution of the Plan annually
  • Manage information flow internally and with clients regarding service escalations, and all revenue growth and retention opportunities.
  • Partner with Business Heads and local client service teams to develop synergies, leverage experience and expertise, and improve overall service delivery model
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and targets appropriate individuals in client organizations.
  • Facilitate cross divisional resolution of business line conflicts; elevates issues to next level of executive management as appropriate
  • Coordinate cross divisional/site efforts as needed ie. Client Due Diligences, and RFIs
  • Collaborate with sales team and subject matter experts to bring the best of State Street to our clients.
  • Bring continuous thought leadership to client base.
  • In conjunction with business lines, accumulate client information technology development requirements. Participate in the technology priority setting process; acts as an advocate for relationship management clients.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in business or related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years related experience in Asset Servicing, Asset Management or Asset Owner Segments

  • Ability to travel within Canada
