Would you like to play a key role in winning international new business within the Air sector? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager - International at our site in Warton- with possible flexibility across other sites.

As a Finance Manager - International, you will be reporting to the Head of Finance Business Winning the incumbent will provide support to the Financial Management and Control of International Export bids. The role is primarily focused on supporting major new business activities in Qatar and Kuwait.

You will provide support to and work with the International Campaign team to secure new business opportunities in Qatar and Kuwait.

This role will provide you with the opportunity for progression, leadership and upskilling your personal development, this is the start of a growth journey in Qatar and Kuwait and at a very exciting time to join BAES. This role will also provide you with the opportunity to travel.

Your main responsibilities as a Finance Manager - International will involve:

Financial management to the bid process in support of export opportunities, working as a member of the integrated campaign team.

Providing support to the Sales Business Management team in line with weekly, monthly and ad hoc requirements

Project Accounting support and cost control for export opportunities including; Monthly Accounts, Cash and Foreign Exchange Management, Bid Cost Management

Financial analysis of bids and their associated business cases to ensure that they make good business sense for the company

Providing financial inputs for export campaigns to satisfy all forecasting and reporting deadlines including; Monthly Forecast, Integrated Business Planning, sales & marketing expenditure, statutory reporting requirements

Supporting the maintenance of the control environment in accordance with the BAE Systems Operational Framework and Finance Policies Manual (and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) where appropriate) to satisfy all internal control requirements including External and Internal Audit processes

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential

Qualified Accountant or equivalent (ACMA, CMA, ACCA)

Financial Modelling experience

Experience of staff management as this role will grow and develop into management of a small team

Desirable

Experience of overseas financial management

Post qualification experience, in Project Accounting, Management Accounting and Reporting Knowledge of working within a stand-alone statutory entity

You will be organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise your workload appropriately. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact with the other members of the International business team and the wider business. You will have the ability to work in new environments that meet legal and tax requirements requiring strong problem-solving skills.

Location: Warton- with possible flexibility across other sites

Salary: £45k+
