A unique opportunity has arisen for a Digital Business Analyst to play a lead role in building a new C2B2B online used car marketplace (VavaCars) that leverages our extensive network of petrol stations and worldwide respected brand of our parent company, Vitol. As a technology first start-up we 'Dive Deep' across all our customer and business KPIs. We believe in detail and thus, use our data to optimise our processes, drive action and deliver results.

Role Mission

You will bridge the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to Senior Management and country stakeholders.

You will work closely with the Business teams in Turkey and Pakistan, while being located as part of the central Product team in London; this is a key role in building, managing and optimising our platforms and business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
  • Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications
  • Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various teams
  • Champion and drive automation (at scale) of all existing manual and ad hoc processes
  • Create efficiency in business operations and reporting by ensuring business owners are able to execute all workflows through our own portals versus off-platform processes
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
  • Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget
  • Suggest changes to senior management using analytics (GA, Power BI, MSD) to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
  • Produce BA deliverables as required; requirements documentation, use cases, testing plans/acceptance criteria across the full requirements life cycle - discovery, analysis, documentation and management
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports
  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Work with Product Managers or act as the Product Owner on projects to build and maintain product backlogs which can be used to gain stakeholder agreement as well as provide suitable information to developers to build / configure/ specify products
  • Work with UX designers to create wireframes/prototype based on requirements
  • Document workflows, identifying opportunities for improvements and work with developers to build and test


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Significant applications BA experience; minimum of 5 years
  • Proficient with MS Visio, Power BI & GA, MSD, Microsoft Access and/or SQL experience strongly preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set; a self-starter who can handle multiple projects and prioritise workloads
  • Worked in a global, scale up environment with experience in working with offshore development teams
  • Experience in building global e-commerce or logistics solutions is desirable
  • An enthusiasm for change and improving processes with a keen interest in new technology
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Highly capable of meeting strict deadlines in a high-pressure, ever-changing environment, extremely organised
  • Good written and presentation skills with an ability to present requirements and processes in a clear, logical manner
  • A BA qualification or having attended professional training in business analysis
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK
