Exceptional candidates gravitate to Summa because of its culture, passion for delivering excellent service to our patients and families commitment to our philosophy of servant leadership, collegial working relationships at every level of the organization and competitive pay and benefits.Summary:Responsible for directing the financial and performance monitoring of the Hospital Division, working collaboratively with the operational leadership of the Akron City, Barberton, and St. Thomas hospitals; hospital nursing and physician leadership; Finance; and other executive leaders as necessary to assume the role of Division expert on the financial reporting, reimbursement, revenue/cost variance analysis and related functions. This position serves as a business partner to the operational leaders of the Hospital Division. A key element of this position will be the financial support of business plans and operations for successful growth, expansion and resource allocation in partnership with hospital physician and operational leaders, along with corporate support functions such as Finance, Strategic Planning, and others as needed. Maintains productive working relationships, and a dual reporting structure, with both hospital leaders and Summa Corporate Finance.Formal Education Required:a. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related healthcare field.b. Master's Degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field preferred.Experience & Training Required:a. Minimum five (5) years in a financial leadership role with manager–level responsibilities or above, with experience in a large multi–entity corporate accounting department.
