The Role Responsibilities

The Treasury COO team works with Treasury to maximize the performance of Treasury, by partnering with the functions and geographies. The team focuses on all aspects of business management with emphasis on (i) Growth and Strategy (ii) Investment and Cost (iii) Control and Governance (iv) IT Infrastructure strategy and Change Management.

This role will focus on the 'IT Infrastructure strategy and Change Management' by being one of Product Owner for the Razor Program which will implement Murex 3.1 - Project Razor [Strategic Treasury Markets (TM) TP system] in 30+ countries in 2021-22.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for end to end functionality of the TM instance of Razor
  • Representing the stakeholders, and has the mandate to prioritise scope (functions / features) on behalf of the business
  • Creating and maintaining a prioritised Product Backlog, ensuring it is visible, transparent and clear
  • Clearly communicating priorities, objectives/goals, mission and acceptance criteria to the Agile Delivery Team
  • Approver to any changes made to the TM instance in consultation with TM Lead Product Owner.
  • Ensuring that all submissions to committees (status reports, AED, CRs, Closure Reports etc.) are of the right quality and are timely.
  • Work closely with TM desks of the in-scope countries along with the BA's and clarify requirements. Assist with input into the design of new Front Office functionally or enhancement to existing functionality of Razor.
  • Constructively challenge the TM Desk on new requirements and non-standard processes which are not in line with the Global Operating Model
  • Review and approval of a Change Risk Assessment (CRA), at a Group or Country level, to ensure management of Process Change Risk and Delivery Risk
  • Liaison with SMEs from Trading/Sales, MTCR, Finance and Operations to form his/her opinion on all changes and issues
  • Responsible to remove all blockers to the TM delivery of the system
  • Assist with reviews of the UAT test pack and test scenarios
  • Sign off on UATs, Migration, Dress Rehearsals and UVT's
  • Send regular communication to TM Desks on progress and achievements
  • Work with the TM Change BA's and Project team in training TM users on the new platform

  • Understand and ensure compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines including those governing securities activities, company law, anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group's policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters.
  • Embed the Group's Valued Behaviours and Group Code of Conduct to ensure adherence with the highest standards of ethics.


Our Ideal Candidate

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to network and influence decisions within the business and within infrastructure/ support teams, senior stakeholder management skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to deliver strong outputs for T-M and the Razor Project.
  • Good knowledge of the T-M business, products and processes with a broad understanding of all banking businesses
  • Strong analytical and presentational skills and ability to prioritize, whilst working to tight timeframes.
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem solving and good common sense/ logical thinking skills. An inquisitive "challenge the status quo" approach to existing practices and procedures
  • Good business judgment with experience in operational control and risk assessment within a multifunctional and multicultural team environment
  • Flexible and responsive nature in order to handle changing priorities.
  • Able to multitask and must be willing to work on topics of little previous exposure. Ability to work independently with minimal direction and take the initiative
  • Ability to work flexible hours given the global nature of the Program
  • Preferred Experience: Treasury, Change Management, Control and Governance, Infrastructure/Systems
  • Preferred Qualifications (experience more important than qualifications):
  • An undergraduate / professional degree in Banking, Finance, Technology.

NOTE : Direct contract role for 18 months.
