SENIOR ACCOUNTANT / MINI CONTROLLER

Our client, a market leading Manufacturing company specializing in the architectural, industrial and commercial markets is currently seeking a new Senior Accountant (Mini Controller) in their quest to remain number 1 in their field and craft. This company has operated in the heart of Markham, ON for the last 44 years, and was recently acquired by a much larger International company specializing in the complex aluminum market. Now together, they require a thorough, hands on Accountant/Senior to lead them in handling all accounting operations for this Markham division.

Benefit from this challenging, yet not overly demanding accounting position where you will be responsible for all things accounting A to Z. Your diligent and thorough nature will ensure the smooth running of this independent accounting department, where you will work closely with the General Manager ensuring the completion of daily function.

TOP 3 REASONS TO JOIN:

1. Truly make this accounting function your own: The truth is you will report to the GM with dotted line reporting relationship to the Controller from the acquiring company (based in West GTA)... BUT, this is your chance to have a real say and work on activities that will drive this business forward. You will work to maintain a high standard of accounting processes and ensure accurate reporting and controls. If something is not right, you can drive impact and change.

2. Work for a small family business with the backing of a large International company: Truly getting the best of both worlds here. The Markham location is very much a fun, friendly, small family feel environment, yet you will have unlimited support from the Parent company, if/when you need it.

3. Perks galore: Earlier we mentioned that the role is challenging but not demanding. Standard hours with very little overtime and some flex around start and finish time. If life outside of work is important to you... this is the place to join. On top, they treat their employees great!
