Our client a leading Insurance company are recruiting an experienced qualified Accountant within their finance team to assist with the consolidated reporting process for a number of group entities.
Key Job details:
• Prepare financial results on a quarterly and annual bases for holding and services companies.
• Prepare the monthly production of financial accounting and management information.
• Draft business commentary on a quarterly basis which forms part of the pack submitted to the Consolidation Team
• Support in the improvement of the financial reporting process, supporting growing statutory and regulatory disclosure requirements.
• Assist with various projects to enhance and develop the consolidation process.
• Support team management by providing guidance, support and leadership to all staff members in their operational tasks and in their general development
• Liaise with external auditors to address all items to facilitate the smooth running and close-out of the audit process.
• Lead in the embedding of the risk culture and control framework across the Group including identification of risks and controls and remedial actions to address all points
• Support Group Finance for all tasks including M&A and project work when required.
Knowledge and Skill Required:
• Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA with at least 3 years post qualified experience.
• Big 4/Top 10 Accounting Practice background is preferable and experience in Financial Services with a strong preference for Insurance.
• Must have experience in both financial Accounting and Reporting.
• Strong IFRS and US GAAP knowledge would be an advantage.
• Good appreciation of GL systems - SAP would be an advantage.
