The Role

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join the management accounting team to be responsible for the accurate reporting, analysis and challenge of the AI results. The team has specific responsibility for the accuracy of the cost base, the calculation and forecasting of all incentive schemes, the accurate accrual and billing of all UK revenue and the coordination of Group Reporting. You will be responsible for the production of MI at a consolidated AI level, demonstrating a good understanding of the variances to budget and expected outcome as well as providing support and guidance to the more junior members of the team who are responsible for detailed analysis to support the consolidated MI.

Responsibilities

• Calculation, forecasting and reconciliation of all incentive schemes.

• Coordination of month end reporting across all AI regions and entities, ensuring accuracy and full understanding of consolidated results.

• Work closely with wider business to understand and bridge movements in FUM resulting from sales and market performance.

• Point of contact for Finance MI system, championing its use and driving improvements and development.

• Coordination of HY and YE reporting to Group

Requirements

Essential

• Qualified Accountant - CIMA or equivalent

• Degree qualified or equivalent

• Experience in a Financial Manager role, ideally within an investment management business.

• Experience of preparing MI and reports that effectively present financial data and provide suitable analytical commentary

• Experience of working with overseas operations and analysing relevant cross border information flows.

• Understanding of financial systems and processes

• Working to tight deadlines whilst managing expectations and prioritising tasks

• Excellent communicator. Ability to present information clearly and articulate key messages succinctly

• Strong analysis skills of complex data

• Proven ability to coach more junior staff and work collaboratively to achieve results

• Adaptable to change and comfortable to challenge where required.
