ISG Services Business Analyst

The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across the Institutional Client Services (ICG) organization, through implementing state of the art technologies and operational processes which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account and corporate action data. The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across all ICG business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.

The newly-formed ISG Services Cross FunctionalBusiness Analysis team specializes in aiding wide-reaching programs by facilitating communication and establishing structured program governance to ensure alignment of the program's sub-streams. The team also provides business analysis services for projects that require insight and data knowledge from multiple systems. Both specializations involve communication with multiple teams, managing complex dependencies, and the ability to quickly collect and organize information to report on program progress or to provide complete business analysis.

Job Description

Manage multiple business analysis projects at the same time across several teams

Serve as the "translator" between requirements provided by the business and the detailed logic that Technology will need to implement

Collect requirements and structure information, system flows, current state dependencies

Communicate closely with business partners to further define requirements

Independently query data from multiple relational databases to validate requirements

Work closely with IT and Operations partners to granularly define requirements and create systemic and/or manual processes to satisfy the defined requirements

Perform analysis activities with the goal of generating logical solutions to existing problems or enhancements, identifying data quality issues, automating manual processes, etc.

Create and manage project plans across complex cross functional teams

Aid in project management requirements & in generation of project reporting, including some PTS-W required documentation and reporting

Generate presentations for very senior stakeholders on program status in collaboration with the ISG teams

Work closely with execution, operations and stakeholders to satisfy project deliverables and milestones within the provided deadlines

Will work with optimizing various ICG operations processes but is expected to have a focus on KYC process improvements

Required Skills

College degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience

Greater than 3 years of relevant work experience

Data oriented with an excellent attention to detail

Experience working with financial data and have a good understanding of financial instruments

Experience in an analytics or development role utilizing relational databases with SQL

Experience working closely with IT and development teams

Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Visio

Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis

Experience working closely with IT Project managers and development teams

Strong analytical skills and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications

Strong teamwork skills in a small local setting, as well as across different geographic locations

Must possess good communication skills with the ability to be assertive

Ability to communicate and summarize detailed analytical findings for senior management

Ability toproducehigh quality work while under pressure

Python experience is a plus

Experience with Banking KYC Operations is a plus
