Accounts Payable Manager
REF: ALC1036
£33,797 to £40,322 per annum
We seek an experienced and self-motivated Accounts Payable Manager to work in the Procurement Service, leading the Accounts Payable team to provide an excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
You will work closely with colleagues in Finance, Planning and Governance as well as external stake holders and the wider University to provide a high quality (non-payroll) payments service to staff, students, suppliers and other external bodies. The entire ledger balance responsibility, including reconciliations, forms part of this role along with supporting internal and external audit as required. You will seek to continuously improve the service provided by the team and will also play a critical role in fraud prevention for the University.
You will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Mathematics and English (or equivalent qualification or experience), along with recent experience with responsibility for administrating weekly and ad hoc payment processes in a modern Accounts Payable/Accounting environment within a commercially driven organisation. Demonstrable experience of team management; excellent organisation; time management; and project management skills are also essential.
The Accounts Payable team is located in the Centrum Building, Colney Lane, Norwich, NR4 7UG.
