This is a fast growing energy trading multinational, with investments in mid/ downstream assets across Asia Pacific. Singapore serves as one of its key commercial and trading locations, supporting business development and acquisition activities across Asia Pacific. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Financial Controller to lead a team based in Singapore.
Reporting to the Asia Managing Director, the Financial Controller will be leading all finance business partnering activities, providing analytical tools to aid the commercial team in identifying business opportunities and risks in a timely and effective fashion. In addition, the Financial Controller will manage the financial reporting, accounting, treasury and taxation functions, and these includes driving all new finance transformation project. He/ She will also oversee the finance function of the overseas entities, and be the external liaison for the regulatory authorities. As this is a managerial position, the Financial Controller will guide and be the mentor for his/ her team members.
The successful candidate must have a degree in Accountancy and accounting qualified, with10-15 years of work experience in financial analysis and controllership, armed with up-to-date understanding of changes in IFRS, controls framework. Those with broad base financial controllership experience within an energy trading environment will have a distinct advantage. You will also have a proven track record managing diverse teams across the region, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
