The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Credit Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.

From the largest global institutions to innovative new hedge funds, investors come to Morgan Stanley for sales, trading, and market-making services in almost every type of financial instruments including stocks, bonds, derivatives, foreign exchange, and commodities. Our professionals provide liquidity and content to clients around the world, actively assessing and managing risk, trading securities, and planning and executing transactions in the fast-changing markets. As the needs of our clients become increasingly complex, we often develop customized solutions.

The Global Markets Group (GMG) is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across FID and Institutional Equities Division (IED) ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.

The role is based out of Mumbai and required working with the London SSG Team. The role will require a fast-learning, dynamic, pro-active and self-motivated person to assist the team in maintaining, tracking and analyzing business activity

The role involves working on –

  • Assisting with NDA process: Prepare and send NDA to clients that are looking to receive or provide private side or public information ; Keeping Track of status of NDAs and following through with Internal Legal until sign off.
  • Credit Agreement Analysis: Ability to read and understand the Transferability provisions in a credit agreement and provide a succinct summary of what is transferable and whether any specific consents are required or any other specifications to be met.
  • Dataroom Management: Ability to maintain and update Datarooms from which the BU requires clients to receive Credit Information Updates.
  • Systems: To be able to work with and understand Loans Management systems, such as LOAN-IQ, LMS and CLEARPAR.
  • On-Boarding / AML: To help with basic Internal / External on-Boarding queries and AML process in terms of monitoring the progress and pro-active follow up until clearance granted.
  • Go Private/ Cooling Off – Assist the BU with Go Private and Cooling Off Process.
  • Loan Closing – will be required to assist with certain aspects of Closing Loan Trades, completion of Trade Documentation & Pricing Calculations.
  • Ad-Hoc – Will need to be flexible as many other tasks can arise at short notice
  • Qualifications

    The basic skills required for the role are the ability to learn quickly how to navigate and proficiently use excel, understand credit agreements and secondary loan trading

    Skill set required:

    We are looking for a confident and outgoing person, who has exceptional attention to detail and is proactive in taking initiative. Successful candidates will have a proven work experience at least 3-5 years in Loan product.

    • Graduate with 3-5 years of experience
    • Excellent written & spoken English;
    • Excellent telephone skills (regular phone contact with team required)
    • Advanced knowledge and extensive hands‑on experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel
    • Experience/exposure or interest in markets/ track markets will be valuable but not essential.
