Job Summary The incumbent is responsible to design, develop, implement and maintain strategies, programs and plans, to manage the Bank's exposure to the risks of Money laundering, Terrorist Financing and Proliferation of weapons of mass destruction emanating from the threats and vulnerabilities posed by the business environment the Bank has been operating in, and also ensure Bank's compliance with related Laws, Rules & Regulations through execution of AFC Compliance Program. Job Role
  • Manage the Anti Financial Crimes Department within Compliance Function to supervise and undertake activities related to CDD/ KYC, AML & CFT monitoring & Sanctions Compliance to manage the Bank's ML/TF risks and ensure compliance of related Laws, Rules and Regulations,
  • Design, develop, execute, monitor & maintain strategies, programs and plans, to manage the Bank's exposure to the risks of Money laundering, Terrorist Financing and Proliferation of weapons of mass destruction emanating from the threats and vulnerabilities posed by the business environment the Bank operate in,
  • Ensure preparation and implementation of Second Line of Defense Policies, procedures, systems and tools related to KYC, Customer Due Diligence, Enhanced Due Diligence, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Compliance and regulatory reporting related to STRs and CTRs,
  • Design & conduct Bank-wide periodic ML/ TF risk assessment in the light of National Risk Assessment and other studies performed by the government authorities, and evaluate Bank's controls to mitigate the identified inherent risks,
  • Support & advise the First Line of Defense functions/ Business Units in development, execution and monitoring of first line policies, procedures and controls pertaining to AML/ CFT areas,
  • Prepare, implement and monitor the Bank-wise AFC Training Program for awareness creation and skill development of First and Second Line of Defense functions' staff to mitigate the ML/TF risks,
  • Assist Chief Compliance Officer in identifying the areas requiring special attention, including regulatory requirements, sensitive nature or importance and provide expert advice to staff on areas of emphasis and importance.
  • Collaborate with and support the business teams in development and review of Bank's Products and Services to advise on management of ML/TF risks and required mitigating controls,
  • Keep liaison with external stakeholders including SBP, FMU and various LEAs to fulfill the Bank's legal and regulatory obligations pertaining to KYC and AML/ CFT areas,
  • Ensure correct & timely reporting of regulatory returns pertaining to the Department and fulfill the RFIs of regulators, various government authorities and LEAs related to customer information in line with legal and regulatory frameworks,
  • Ensure preparation of performance reports on ML/TF risk management and related MIS and present it to various governance forums of the Bank,
  • Supervise the activities mandated by the regulator under the domain of CFT Desk as well as other specific areas,
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by Chief Compliance Officer, Bank's Senior Management or any governance forums of the Bank.
  • Required Qualification, Education/Certification & Experience:
  • ACA, ACCA, master's degree in business/ Commerce/ Finance + Professional Certification/Diploma in Compliance, AML, AFC, Internal Controls/Frauds
