The proposed Business Finance and Controller ("BFC") role will support daily control functions within the Global Mortgages and Securitized Products (GMSP) Trading space. Product coverage will span across multiple Trading desks covering both cash securities and derivatives. Main responsibilities of the Product Controller can include:

Position Description:
The proposed Business Finance and Controller ("BFC") role will support daily control functions within the Global Mortgages and Securitized Products (GMSP) Trading space. Product coverage will span across multiple Trading desks covering both cash securities and derivatives. Main responsibilities of the Product Controller can include:
- Daily Balance Sheet analysis and commentary, P&L substantiation to market events, significant transaction review
- Monthly close functions, processing of journal entries, accounting adjustments, reconciliations, reserve and valuation adjustment calculations
- Partner with Trading Desk, Trade Support, Operations, ECM and other partners on business support including new product review, accounting assessment, issue resolution
- Quarterly management and regulatory reporting including fair value disclosures, roll forwards, revenue/balance sheet variance commentary
- Sarbanes-Oxley related control activities and coordination
- Volcker/Capital related validation activities such as Volcker balance sheet review, validation of Volcker and Capital attributes for books to ensure compliance with enterprise guidelines
- Working on initiatives to simplify/automate manual processes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree
- Minimum of 2-5 yrs of financial industry/banking/ accounting experiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to clearly document and communicate with team members and supervisors
- Strong analytical skills; able to work independently while being a team player
- Advanced experience and skills with Excel and complex spreadsheets (i.e exp with Pivots, v-look ups, formulas)
