With established presence in Australia and due to continual organisational growth, an opportunity for an experienced Risk & Assurance Advisor is now available to compliment the Governance, Risk & Assurance team.
As the Advisor, you will be part of a team who are responsible for the ongoing validation and management of operational risk and assurance performance, as well as leading continuous improvement on behalf of the organisations strategy. This role is critical to the broader operational risk and compliance function to ensure that the organisation and its related bodies continue to operate in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.

This role is critical to the broader operational risk and compliance function to ensure that the organisation and its related bodies continue to operate in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
Operating with a degree of autonomy and independence, you will support the Manager with:
- Supporting the management of corporate insurance reporting requirements
- Reporting on internal audit to the relevant Committees
- Managing the organisations Group Controls and Assurance Framework
- Monitoring and maintaining the fraud risk register and prevention initiatives
- Maintaining the Risk Management Framework to ensure alignment to the organisational strategy and objectives
- Assisting reviews and investigations
- Investigating and coordinating responses to the appropriate regulatory and external industry bodies
- Identifying business improvement opportunities
- Supporting the development of risk management strategies
- Working proactively and collaboratively with a variety of internal stakeholders including Senior Management
Key requirements to be successful in this role:
- Formal qualifications in an appropriate discipline (Insurance/Risk/Audit/Governance)
- Demonstrated experience in managing a corporate insurance program
- Experience in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Risk Management practises
- Extensive knowledge and experience interpreting and applying Commonwealth legislation and Australian Standards
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment with minimal direction
- Ability to prepare and distribute complex reporting
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders from varying business units across multiple locations
- Proven ability to create and maintain an expectation of trust and confidentiality
