Our client is a leading and highly reputable Business Services firm in Canberra and is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing team.
Your new role
- Perform various bookkeeping duties, including recording financial transactions using different accounting software, arranging for the payment of accounts, preparing/issuing invoices and receipts, managing debtors, reconciling bank accounts, processing payroll and maintaining employee records
- Prepare and lodge various financial documents/reports such as Business Activity Statements, balance sheets and income statements, including analysing all transactions to maintain high levels of accuracy
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, leading to being entrusted to manage confidential financial information and transactions
- Undertake responsibility to provide training and support to staff and clients Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks
What you'll need to succeed
- Thorough knowledge of modern methods used in keeping and checking financial records and reports
- Good knowledge of principles and practices used in bookkeeping
- Basic understanding of accounting theory and methods
- Ability to use Xero & MYOB and other computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail and database software
- A high degree of accuracy, good judgement and integrity
