Job role
Finance manager
Experience level
Manager
As part of the EMEAR Service Providers Sales Finance team, you will be the Sales Finance controller for Germany and Central Europe, partnering directly with the sales leaders and their management teams.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) running the weekly bookings forecasting process, identifying and analyzing key areas of focus/transformation, and working cross-functionally to understand and positively influence the business (from opex/investment decisions to discount/profitability tradeoffs to growth trends to funnel growth, etc). You also help keep Cisco compliant by ensuring proper accounting and SOX requirements are met every quarter.
Who You'll Work With
You will directly partner with the Sales and Sales-supporting teams, along with the EMEAR Service Providers finance direct team and FP&A partner.

As the finance partner, you will provide financial updates throughout the quarter, help the teams understand areas of strength and areas of opportunity, and work to optimally prioritize and scale business-critical activities and insights. You will also give forward-looking guidance (including risks and opportunities) to the broader EMEAR finance teams.
Who You Are
You love working with many cross-functional partners, enjoy a fast-faced yet highly collaborative team atmosphere, and can take the initiative to help drive alignment/actionable next steps when needed. You take the time to understand the business and challenges/priorities of your Sales and Sales-supporting partners, and help them make sound business decisions. You view yourself as a key business partner, with responsibilities beyond just reporting the numbers.
Minimum Qualification
You have a minimum of 7 years of finance work experience, including a business-partnering role. Knowledge of Essbase/FinBI is a plus, but can be taught so long as you are hungry to learn. The motivation to work in a fast-paced environment, the ability to prioritize across many different activities, and the drive to develop strong business partnerships are essential for success and fulfillment in this role.

#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.

We embrace digital, and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses. Some may think we're "old" (36 years strong) and only about hardware, but we're also a software company. And a security company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns and protects. No other company can do what we do - you can't put us in a box!

But "Digital Transformation" is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.)

Day to day, we focus on the give and take. We give our best, give our egos a break, and give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We take accountability, bold steps, and take difference to heart. Because without diversity of thought and a dedication to equality for all, there is no moving forward.

So, you have colorful hair? Don't care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That's cool. Pop culture geek? Many of us are. Passion for technology and world changing? Be you, with us!
