The Role

United Square is seeking applications from highly talented and motivated intermediate audit professional to take a lead role in the provision of audit services in all phases of the client engagement as well as training and mentoring of junior auditors.

The duties and responsibilities of the position broadly include the following:
  • Conduct audits of financial statements and prepare financial statements and reports for the management, shareholders and governing and statutory bodies;
  • assess accounts for accuracy and regulatory compliance;
  • Inspect internal systems and controls;
  • Assess risk management tactics;
  • Report systematic errors or fraud indicators;
  • Investigate specific issues regulatory bodies bring forward;
  • Explain audit findings and recommend solutions;
  • Collect, analyse and interpret financial information, cost structures and trading effectiveness of organisations;
  • Evaluate the costs effectiveness and risks of operational procedures, policies and systems; and
  • Establish audit objectives, design and implement auditing systems and procedures to ensure financial and regulatory compliance.

The candidate

You will have:
  • Experience in data analysis and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of external auditing practices and relevant regulations
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (e.g. GAAP, IFRS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound judgement and decision-making ability
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • CA/CPA qualification or currently undertaking
As some of United Squares' clients are Korean businesses and not-for-profit entities, fluency in Korean language is highly regarded.
