Finance Analyst - Contract Salary: €15 per hour City 4+ month contract Non-profit / NGO organisation Immediate availability essential ** Advanced Excel skills essential** Provide continual data analysis using strong excel skills to facilitate decision making, gather and understand stakeholder data with a view to enhance reporting requirements to the management team. Core Job Requirements Responsible for the analysis and reporting of all donor income, statutory, rents and other funding streams with a view to enhancing processes and KPIs to agreed deadlines on a monthly basis. Responsible for the full reconciliation of all finance donor reporting to fundraising reports to agreed monthly and weekly deadlines, and to ensure that internal controls procedures are followed. Support the fundraising department with reconciliations of donor income. Responsible for developing and reporting KPIs and analysis structure for service user rents to agreed monthly deadlines and follow up with housing management team for explanations and follow up on rent arrears against budget. To support the Financial accountant in developing analysis tools across the department for the development of departmental KPIs. Contribute to the development of the finance teams skills, culture and impact for the benefit of end users in the organisation. Compile and submit statutory quarterly returns according to timetable in timely manner. Ad-hoc projects as required. Work during unsocial hours may be required Have a flexible approach to the work in response to organisational change, development and review of best practice Participate in and engage with a performance management programme Identify training needs with your line manager and participate in training opportunities appropriate to the role To be vigilant to any Health, Safety and Welfare risks in the workplace and bring any concerns to the attention of your line manager or Health & Safety Representative To participate in the efficient flow of information within the organisation by sharing and seeking information as appropriate To undertake other duties as may be requested by the line manager from time to time To undertake your work in a manner that is friendly, flexible and informal Qualification Finance/Accounting or related discipline 3 rd level qualification or professional accountancy qualification Finance related degree or professional qualification including part qualified Knowledge Demonstrated ability to work with numbers and large volumes of data with accuracy and speed Excellent accounting and computer skills ideally with strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Power-point knowledge.  Very strong excel skills essential Knowledge of working in Dimensions accounts package is desirable Experience 2+ years previous work experience in a Finance environment with specialisation in analytics Core Competencies Maintains a clear focus on agreed goals to achieve expected results Contributes fully, shares information, ideas and opinions - team player Identifies problems, contributes to creating options to resolve issues, refers appropriately Follows a systematic approach to prioritising and delivery Understands the need to provide the highest quality customer service, delivers to customers' expectations Committed to effective Professional Practice Planning and organising to meet tight deadlines High level of accuracy  with a logical approach to problem solving and a willingness to troubleshoot Highly organised, proactive and motivated individual who also performs well as part of a team
