Job Summary
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of Financial Reports, budgeting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Key Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.
  • Assess the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and accounting records; and compliance with reporting and procedural standards.
  • Prepare periodic Bank of Ghana Returns
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports on monthly basis.
  • Guides accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Manage tax and external audits.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Prepare, sign-off, and file monthly bank reconciliations statements.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document record-keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
  • Co-ordinate, prepare, review, monitor budget and provide feedback to Management for efficient resource utilization.
  • Implement and manage accounting software to be used for financial purposes and management information.
  • Stay up to date with technological advances in accounting software.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by Management from time to time.

  • Required Skills or Experience

    Education
  • Education: 1st Degree in Accounting, Economics or related field.
  • Professional: CA/ACCA/CIMA Member.

  • Work Experience
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a Management role is desireable.

  • Required Functional Skills
  • Expert level in the use of Microsoft suite of applications.
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to multi-task and organise others.
  • Budget preparation.
