TEAM LEAD, GENERAL LEDGER

• Overall responsibility of process team(s), measured by appropriate KPIs 
• Manages, supervises and leads the team to ensure proper staffing, work allocation, staff performance, motivation and development 
• Manages work allocation and the performance appraisal process for all team employees
• Conduct team member development discussion 
• Facilitate team problem solving and knowledge management 
• Ensures all team members understand and are working to GBS standards of performance 
• Facilitate service culture, effective team-working and actively promote harmonious relationships for the benefit of continuously improving team performance 
• Training the team, especially on new tasks 
• On-boarding new employees, in cooperation with HR, Ops Mgr and other team leaders 
• Work together with Operations Manager and other team leaders to balance and optimize the capacity utilization 
• Contribute to the task of ensuring that under performance issues are managed according to relevant guidelines

Requirements:

• Higher education in accounting/economics/management 
• 5+ years of relevant experience 
• Team lead/supervisory experience from leading Accounting team, preferably General Ledger
• Fluency in English is mandatory, skills in Finnish, Swedish, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese are an asset
• General Ledger process expertise 
• Understanding of main principles in all areas of accounting & finance 
• Strong people management skills, customer service mindset 
• Solution and development oriented, problem solving skills 
• Drive for creating high performance culture 
• SAP, other accounting software and databases experience 
• Good communication and presentation skills as well as teamwork and co-operation skills in a cross-cultural organization
