THE PURPOSE OF ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
The purpose of the role is to support the Finance team with the month end management accounts and various ad-hoc tasks throughout the month.
This is a fixed term contract for a period of 6 months.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Assisting with month end management accounts preparation for 5 entities including posting journals for assets, prepayments and accruals
Ownership of month end reconciliations including bank reconciliations and general balance sheet reconciliations
Ownership of intercompany reconciliations
Support with month end invoicing and revenue reconciliations
Support with sales ledger as needed and at critical times
Reviewing processes; offering and implementing improvements
Support with purchase ledger and sales ledger, as required and at busy times
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO BE ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Demonstrable experience in a previous role
AAT/ACCA/ACA/ CIMA Part qualified
Comfortable with finance systems including Sage 200
Advanced excel user
Experience of working to strict deadlines
Good communication skills
