Bookkeeper - Banchory Aberdeenshire
Salary - Negotiable
Part time basis
The Company
Our client is specialised in providing services in accountancy, tax, payroll, bookkeeping, and tax advice to small businesses, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. They are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to assist in managing day-to-day accounting and finance requirements for several clients on a Part Time basis.
Role
The ideal candidate should be a multi-tasker, reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines. For this position confidentiality, excellent organisational skills and accuracy are important qualifications, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly.
Responsibilities
Collate bookkeeping data from the clients and be the go between the clients and our Bookkeeping partners who handle the data entry.
Ensure that our partners have successfully dealt with the sales/ expenses data input, they have matched/ added the bank entries accurately and that payroll journals and bank reconciliations have been completed.
Comfortable with running reports including the Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial balance, Debtors and Creditors.
Keep track of all VAT deadlines and submissions and liaise with other members of the team in relation to job allocation and checks.
Certain clients are handled in house and you will be responsible for inputting all data entry, including sales/ expenses, matching/ adding bank entries, preparing and posting the payroll journals and completing the bank reconciliations.
Prepare manual workings for certain clients in relation to their VAT return deadlines.
Comfortable with the VAT check and file service provided to our clients.
Dealing with multi-currency accounts is advantageous but training will be provided.
Attend face to face, over the phone/ video client meetings to answer any bookkeeping queries they have and that is not covered via email.
Track your time spent on each client via a timesheet.
Qualifications and skills
Experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
Experience in dealing with customers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
Proficiency in QuickBooks is advantageous, but training will be provided
Bookkeeping certificate is advantageous
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy
Skilled in maintaining good customer relationships
Excellent organisational skills
Able to communicate clearly
