Tax Analyst Position with Global Business in Swindon
Client Details
Exciting Global Business based in Swindon
Description
Corporate and International Tax
- Collating and analysing data for inclusion in UK and European corporation tax calculations and returns.
- Working with other areas of the business to interrogate the data for compliance requirements.
- Assisting with preparation of reports and calculations for R&D credits, Patent Box and other worldwide considerations.
- Assistance with the cash flow and accounting of UK and European corporate tax payments.
- Ad hoc research and analytical support on other corporate tax projects as required.
Transfer Pricing
- Calculating transfer prices for new products, including developing workings and processes to streamline the process.
- Working with overseas group entities to prepare the workings for quarterly transfer pricing reviews.
- Extracting data from financial reporting systems to update and maintain the Country by Country Report.
- Collating and analysing data for inclusion in transfer pricing documentation, Advance Pricing Agreements and responses to tax authority enquiries.
- Ad hoc analytical support on other transfer pricing projects as required.
Employment taxes
- Assisting with UK tax return compliance co-ordination for expats.
- Requesting data and preparing calculations for modified PAYE and NIC scheme.
- Preparing cost estimates for employees assigned overseas and assisting with expat cost recharges.
- Preparing short-term business visitor reporting.
Profile
- Degree-qualified and/or previous experience in a role involving data/financial analysis and strong A-levels grade A-C (or equivalent)
- Moderate to advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables etc) to extract, analyse, manipulate, present and interpret large amounts of data effectively
- Basic understanding of fundamental tax and accounting concepts and experience of SAP or similar ERP systems preferred but not essential as training can be given
- A willingness to learn
- Able communicate to effectively with people inside and outside the company who have diverse backgrounds, languages and objectives
- Ability to manage own time and workload and work towards deadlines.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Job Offer
£30-38k depending on experience.
