Assistant Fund Accountant

Opportunity for Part Qualified Assistant Accountants to join a growing Fund Accounting team within a leading financial services business based in the City of London.

Fast growing financial services businesses providing fund accounting services to Private Equity and Real Estate Investment businesses.

Description

Working in a team of fund accountants, your role will be to manage the fund accounting requirements of 1-3 clients from the Private Equity or Real Estate investment industries.

Duties will include:

• Responsible for the preparation of Financial Statements with Disclosures and other ad-hoc financial

  information for our Clients

• Preparation and delivery of administrative tasks required by our Clients (for example fund drawdowns

  and distributions) and of investor communications

• Take ownership and respond Client/Investor queries within 24 hours of receipt

• Communicate and build relationships with individuals at senior levels with the organisation

• Oversee processing of financial information of junior team members

Profile

You will have stong technical accounting experience including accounts preparation up to Trial Balance and P&L level.

You will have good academics (ideally degree calibre) and be actively studying towards your professional accounting qualification (ACCA is preferred).

An interest in financial services and / or fund accounting desirable.

Excellent communication skills.

Commitment to attaining your full accountancy qualification in the next 1-3 years.

Candidates from Accountancy Practice or Financial Services preferred although not essential.
