Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

Location: Bridlington

A developmental role has arisen for a keen and ambitious part qualified accountant with a successful manufacturing company on the East Yorkshire coast in Bridlington. The successful candidate will be studying ACCA/CIMA, have good generalist accounting skills and be looking for excellent career potential for the future. The role could suit a part qualified accountant currently working in professional practice and who sees their career more suited to working in industry or a candidate already working in industry and looking for the next upwards move.

THE ROLE:
-The role will develop over the first 1-2 years to take on a key role in the management reporting of the business and build up to preparing complete month end accounts
-Sales margins analysis and interrogation, accounts receivable, accounts payable and processing weekly and monthly payroll including agency time sheets
-Preparation of balance sheet accounts including prepayments, accruals and stock for posting to the general ledger, investigating variances
-Monthly preparation of VAT return, monthly Intrastats and EC sales lists plus relevant related compliance after Brexit
-Compiling and verifying information for ad hoc reporting, projects and providing support to other members of the existing accounting team
-Processing sales invoices and payments through to the bank
-The role requires a broad based skills set, a willingness to help and a hands on approach

THE CANDIDATE:
- Ideally you are ACCA/CIMA part qualified and studying to professionally qualify.
- Versatile and with excellent communication skills both written and verbal, you are looking to work in a friendly, established accounting team and have upwards career progression at the forefront of your mind
A high standard of systems literacy is expected particularly with Excel as is the ability to work to deadline, maintain accuracy and have great attention to detail
- You enjoy working with friendly people and in an environment where recruitment isn't an everyday occurrence and usually borne out of promotion or newly created positions

THE COMPANY:
My client is based on the East Yorkshire coast in Bridlington and with good access for the A164/A165, Driffield and the surrounding areas, Beverley, Hull and the Humber Bridge. It is approximately a 40 - 45 minute commute from Hull by car. They specialise in a niche manufacturing sector and have an international presence.

THE BENEFITS:
