Job Description

In support of Sage's vision, the IT function has moved to a single global operating model. Our mission is to transform the way IT is delivered to customers and colleagues across the world with the emphasis on simplicity, mobility, and efficiency. Business Analysis will be a key element in defining processes utilizing a common delivery framework that produces the right solutions at the right time to advance business system capabilities enabling our colleagues to focus more on our customers and increasing revenue.

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for engaging with colleagues across Sage to capture, analyse and document requirements for IT requests and projects to uncover the gaps between strategic needs of a business unit, and their abilities to meet those needs, and to drive initiatives to fill those gaps. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with the Business Analyst Manager, IT and the wider business to ensure that requirements are understood, agreed and will form the basis of execution within IT.

This is a 1 year Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Works within the IT project framework, educates others on process and works to continuously improve the way in which the IT Business Analyst team work
• Responsible for driving the creation of requirement outputs that provide the clarity for estimating and planning while working within the solution designers and project managers
• Works alongside solution architectures to identify new ideas and improvements to ensure solutions are aligned to Sage's strategy and objectives
• Accountable for continuous improvement of knowledge of analysis frameworks, methodologies and ways of working within the IT Business Analysis function
• Supports IT Business Analysis Manager in delivering the vision for the team
• Collaborates with and works alongside with development, UX, Security and Architecture teams throughout design, development and testing activities to ensure business process requirements are understood and incorporated into solutions
• Provides proactive, effective communication with business and IT stakeholders on regional and global initiatives and understands stakeholder roles, motivation and level of involvement
• Recognizes operational risks and issues across the business, highlights them and take and/or recommends actions to mitigate them along with the project leadership
• Mentors, drives change, help others understand how to enable/support the change and overcome obstacles, and minimize organizational resistance to change
• Continuously builds knowledge of business in class solutions, champions technology innovation and continuous improvement in technology that will enable change and/or improvement of existing business operations to feed into the solution design
• Owns personal development and seek out opportunities for further development
