THE COMPANY:
This business are an established, instantly recognisable, and long running manufacturing company based in Leeds. The business have just over 60 years experience in their field, and over the last 2 years, they have gone through some significant growth and change, which has lead to a restructure of their finance function. As a result of this, they are now looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Controller, who will report to and work directly with the Financial Controller.
THE JOB:
The role will oversee a team of 3 staff, and take a a lead in the reporting and FP&A for the business, being responsible for the following key duties:
Assisting with the development of robust Budgeting & Forecasting processes, involving key stakeholders in the Business Review of monthly management accounts and presenting key trends and issues to the Financial Controller Driving further improvements in month end information & analysis, reviewing postings and improving processes, including continuous improvement of recently implemented Standard Costing models Supporting key stakeholders including Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain & Site Managers in providing key financial information and ensuring consistency of information Implementing a comprehensive financial control manual Ensure robust balance sheet control through monthly review of reconciliations Managing the provision of information for the annual audit and tax processes Support for any ad hoc analysis required by the Business Develop and manage the Finance team of 3 direct reports
THE PERSON:
The successful candidate will:
Be ACCA/CIMA Qualified - Essential Have worked in a senior finance role, ideally within manufacturing - Essential Have advanced excel skills and a previous experience experience within financial reporting - Essential Have previous staff management experience - Desirable
